We\u2019ve been counting down to it: the festive arrival of the giant sailing ships. On board are crews made up largely of young trainees. It was a turbulent journey from Denmark to Friesland, with rough seas and weather conditions that must have made quite an impression: meet the trainees \u2013 they\u2019ve got plenty to tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And there\u2019s plenty more to do. There are workshops at the event site. Singers are performing on the terraces. At the Handelskade on the Deining, you can immerse yourself in the history of the harbour and Harlingen. Or spend the whole afternoon in the Stadshart enjoying the performance by the Singing Mermaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music, (street) theatre, food and drink: we\u2019ll carry on having a great time until well past midnight.
