During this special reception, administrators from The Hague and Friesland, members of the States General and civil society representatives will gather in maritime atmospheres.

Programme

12.00 Reception at the Frisian Tall Ships Clubhouse (Business Lounge) with coffee and tea. 

12.30 pm Our host(ess) will take you to the tall ship, the Gulden Leeuw. The captain will personally welcome you on board your reserved ship. A delicious, sumptuous lunch will already be waiting for you on board.

13.00 Welcome address by the Province of Fryslân/Wetterskip Fryslân/Harlingen Municipality

1.15 pm Once everyone is on board, the ship sets off for the Wadden Sea. From the ship, you’ll have a wonderful view of the festivities in Harlingen harbour.

3.00 pm We moor back in the harbour amongst all the other tall ships. Guests are welcome to enjoy a drink on deck.  

Around 4.00 pm The captain bids farewell to you and your party. An unforgettable, inspiring and unifying experience! Back on shore, the festive crew parade ends at 4.30 pm by the main stage, where the race’s prize-giving ceremony will also take place.
