De Eendracht

‘De Eendracht’ has a rich history dating back to 1938. Many people were concerned about the rise of motorised shipping and the changes it brought with it. The knowledge of sea sailing would be lost and with it the cooperation, team spirit and perseverance. The National Association was established and construction of the Eendracht has started training opportunities on a ship to maintain this knowledge. There was a long delay due to the Second World War and its economic consequences, but thanks to the help of many volunteers and patron Prince Bernhard, the construction of the tall ship was completed in 1974. She was christened in 1989 by Queen Beatrix.

15 permanent crew and 39 trainees are on board.

The ship is docked in: Nieuwe Willemshaven
