Did you know that the Tall Ships Races is a proper sailing race? And that means there are prizes to be won! Of course, for the fastest ships in each class, but that’s not all. On Saturday afternoon, during the Prize-Giving ceremony on the main stage at the Blauwe Kop, many tall ships and their crews were presented with prizes.

The winners are:

Sustainability Award: Statsraad Lehmkuhl from Norway
Winner of the Tobbedansen: Fryderyk Chopin from Poland
Winner of the crew sports programme: Gulden Leeuw from the Netherlands
The crew with the lowest average age: Fryderyk Chopin (18.57 years) from Poland
Most international crew: Statsraad Lehmkuhl from Norway (21 different nationalities on board)
Best crew: Captain Glowacki from Poland
Winner of the Crew Parade: Thalassa from the Netherlands
Winner of the Crew Parade (second place): Kapitan Glowacki from Poland
First in the A class: Kapitan Glowacki from Poland
Second in the A Division: Eendracht
Third in the A class: Fryderyk Chopin from Poland
Winners of the B Division: Rupel from Belgium
Runners-up in the B division: Ryvingen from Norway
Third in the B division: a man from Brabant living in Lithuania
First in the C-class: Esprit from Germany
Second in the C class: Belfer from Poland
Third in the C class: Cykas from Poland
Winners of the D Division: Dar Szczcina from Poland
Second in the D class: Tara from Denmark
