Only three tall ships left for trainees, the rest are full

Are you between the ages of 15 and 25? And would you like to make the trip of a lifetime next summer during the international sailing trip the Tall Ships Races? Then sign up quickly. We still have a few places available on three tall ships. The rest of the tall ships are already full.

Statsraad Lehmkuhl

You sleep in a hammock in a shared space.

Note: You can join the Statsraad Lehmkuhl only if in possession of a passport.

Sorlandet

Country: Norway
Length: 64 metres
Number of trainees: 70
Language on board: English
Age: 18 - 25 years (15 - 17 years on request)
You sleep in a hammock in a shared space.
Additional info: ship's doctor on board.

Saeftinghe

This is the only tall ship still available whose crew speaks Dutch.

Country: Belgium
Length: 23 metres
Number of trainees: 8
Language on board: Dutch and English
Age: 15 - 25 years
You sleep in a cabin or a bed/bunk in the open space.

The programme

26 June: departure by bus to Aarhus
27 June: departure on the tall ship, the start of the voyage
2 July: finish on the Wadden Sea
3 July: the Sail In Parade in Harlingen
4 July: a programme full of crew activities, including e.g. the Crew Parade, the Prize Giving and the Crew Party
5 July: goodbye to all your new friends.

On 30 May, we will organise another special trainees' day. During this day, you will get all the latest information and have the chance to get to know other trainees.
