The Sail In Parade was an impressive spectacle

Thousands of visitors on the sea wall and in Willemshaven enjoyed the Sail In Parade on Friday. The arrival of the tall ships is always a highlight. And on the 70th anniversary of the Tall Ships Races, the fleet did not disappoint.

Sail Harlingen has now really got underway. On and around the water. At the head of the Willemshaven, where the main stage, De Blauwe Kop, is located, The Legends We’ve Lost are playing timeless classics by world-famous artists who – as the name suggests – have slipped our minds. After that, you can enjoy The Naked Koala. A treat for both the ears and the eyes: the band made their name in Papua New Guinea and put on the wildest concert in the history of the Tall Ships Races in Kristiansand, Norway. They’re keen to repeat that feat in Harlingen.
