EnglishDuring Sail Harlingen, it gets very busy in and around Harlingen. This means you won’t be able to reach every part of the town by car, and car parks in the town centre will be unavailable.
On this page, you can find out where visitors and guests can park, and what arrangements are in place for residents.
Are you coming to Sail Harlingen by car? If so, please be aware that it will be busy. We have set up several large car parks on the outskirts of the city especially for all visitors. You can park in these car parks. A day parking ticket costs €15. You can buy these tickets in advance of the event via Van Plan. Tickets are also available at the car park itself.
To find the car parks from the motorway, follow the signs marked ‘P Visitors’.
Shuttle buses
Shuttle buses will run from the car parks to the event site from 9.30 am until one hour after the event has finished.
Have you booked a corporate package? If so, your parking ticket is included in the price. Along with your admission tickets, you’ll receive an e-mail containing a parking pass. This pass also states which car park you can use and how to get there.
Do you live in the Havenkwartier, the town centre or the area around the Lanen, the Schritsen and the Zuiderhaven? If so, Sail Harlingen will affect access to your home. Residents in these areas received a letter at home in early June containing further information. They can collect a number-plate-specific sticker on 18 and 24 June between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm from the Sail Harlingen office at Nieuwe Willemshaven 5.
Are you unable to attend on the dates mentioned above?
You can then collect the vignette after 24 June during office hours from the Sail Harlingen office at Willemshaven 5.
