The Sittard is a naval vessel that was formerly used as a minesweeper. It was built in the 1950s with support from the US government as part of the Marshall Plan. It was previously in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy, but in 1997 it was transferred to the Harlingen Sea Cadet Corps.
