The Statsraad Lehmkuhl is a steel boat with three masts and owned by the Stiftelsen Seilskipet Statsraad Lehmkuhl.

History

The Statsraad Lehmkuhl was built in 1914 at Bremershaven as a training ship for the German merchant navy. Originally, the ship was named Grossherzog Friedrich August. In 1923, the ship was bought by the Norweigan Shipowners Association. In 1924, the ship transferred to the Bergen Schol Ship Foundation, where she was run until 1966, with the exception of World War II. A Bergen shipowner owned the ship until 1973, after which it was donated to the current owner in 1978.
