This Barkentijn is an imposing tall ship. The three-master is one of the most beautiful and fastest sea sailing ships in the Dutch fleet. She is rigged according to ancient tradition, but equipped according to the most modern safety requirements. It brings adventurous sailing and comfortable enjoyment in perfect harmony.

History

The Thalassa was built in 1980. After sinking in 1985, she was completely rebuilt and relaunched in 1995 as a traditionally rigged three-master. In 2004, the ship participated in the Tall Ships Races for the first time.

Sail along as a trainee

The Thalassa is fully booked. Are you between 15 and 25 years old and would you like to sail as a trainee on the leg from Aarhus to Harlingen? This is still possible on Statsraad Lehmkuhl, Sørlandet and Saeftinghe.
