The Eendracht is an imposing three-masted schooner, designed to safely introduce both youngsters and adults to sea sailing.

History

The Eendracht has a rich history that began in 1938. Many people were concerned about the rise of motorised shipping and the changes it brought. The knowledge of sea sailing would be lost and with it cooperation, team spirit and perseverance. The National Association was formed and the construction of the Eendracht was started to preserve the training opportunities on a ship. And then a long delay followed due to World War II and its economic consequences. Through the help of many volunteers and patron Prince Bernhard, construction of the tallship was finally completed in 1974. She was christened by Queen Beatrix in 1989.

The Eendracht is fully booked. Are you between 15 and 25 years old and would you like to sail as a trainee on the leg from Aarhus to Harlingen? This is still possible on Statsraad Lehmkuhl, Sørlandet and Saeftinghe.
