The second day is about to begin

The second day of Sail Harlingen is about to begin. There are a few highlights on the programme again today, including the Crew Parade at 3.00 pm. In a festive procession, all the trainees and crew members will march through the centre of Harlingen. A number of tall ships are holding open-ship days and are therefore open to visitors; boat trips are available at 11.00, 14.00 and 17.00. And across the entire event site, there are various activities, ranging from street theatre to bands, and from the markets to the shanty choirs at the Zuiderhaven.

Route Crew Parade

The Crew Parade starts on Havenweg. The procession then proceeds via Spoorstraat to Steenhouwersstraat, Brouwerstraat and Heiligeweg. There, it turns off towards Noordijs and Rommelhaven, before continuing via Sint Jacobsstraat to Voorstraat. It then proceeds via the Grote Bredeplaats to the Zuiderhaven and, via the Spoorstraat and the Willemshaven, back to the main stage, De Blauwe Kop. The grand prize-giving ceremony, the Prize Giving, will follow there.
